Karuhanga stars as Black Pirates fire past Makerere Impis at Kings Park

KAMPALA — Stanbic Black Pirates produced a commanding performance to defeat Makerere Impis 31–9 in a Week 6 clash of the Uganda Rugby Premiership at Kings Park Arena.

The Pirates controlled the match from the opening whistle, combining forward dominance with an energetic backline that kept the Impis pinned deep in their own half.

Makerere Impis managed their points through penalty kicks but struggled to break through the Pirates’ disciplined defensive line.

Speaking after the victory, senior Pirates player Alema Ruhweza, also known as Diddy, said the team remains focused on maintaining its position at the top of the standings.
